The machine that didn't want to serve.
In 1952 at Bell Labs, Artificial Intelligence pioneer Marvin Minsky created "the ultimate machine" — a device with a simple switch that, once activated, triggers a mechanism that reaches out to turn itself off. la machine reinvents this delightfully absurd concept for the modern era. Each interaction is unique, combining thousands of different sounds and movements in unpredictable ways.
A personality, not a program
- Moods: Docile, playful, or downright insolent.
- Presence: She gently extends her arm if you ignore her too long.
- Memory: She develops her own personality through your interactions.

Packaging we're proud of: 100% cardboard, zero plastic.
la machine arrives in a box made entirely of cardboard. No film, no foam, no plastic bag: the insert is cardboard, the guide is paper. Everything goes in the recycling, or stays on a shelf, because the box is beautiful and designed to be kept.
We designed this packaging with the same care as the object itself. Opening the box is part of meeting la machine, and many machinauts tell us they kept it.
- Box, insert and guide: 100% cardboard and paper
- No plastic, no foam, no film
- Fully recyclable with your paper waste
- Made to be kept, or reused to give la machine as a gift
The USB-C cable is deliberately not included: you most likely already have one, and it's that much less material in the box.
