Charging la machine

How to charge & know when it's ready
  1. Grab any USB-C cableNo cable is included — use any standard USB-C cable plugged into a 5V USB power source.
  2. Connect la machineThe USB-C port is on the back of the device. Once connected, la machine will slightly open its lid — its way of telling you it's charging.
  3. Wait for the lid to closeWhen fully charged (approx. 2–3 hours), the lid closes on its own. Disconnect and start playing.

Important Use only a certified 5V DC USB power source. Non-compliant chargers may damage the device.

Low Battery Signal

Recognising when it needs a recharge

la machine won't just go silent — it will tell you in its own way. When activated with a low battery, two things happen at once:

Special sound

A distinctive low-battery tone plays instead of the usual sounds.

Slow arm

The motorized arm moves much more slowly than usual.

What to do Connect la machine to a USB-C cable. The lid will open slightly to confirm charging, and close once the battery is full.

Travel & Shipping Mode

Pack safely — no accidental activations

Before putting la machine in a bag or shipping it, always activate Travel Mode. The device becomes completely silent and will not respond to any switch activation.

Activate Travel Mode

  1. Flip la machine upside downPlace it with the toggle switch facing downward.
  2. Flip the toggle switch twiceTwo quick flips in succession.
  3. Listen for the confirmation soundA specific tone confirms Travel Mode is active. la machine will no longer respond.

Deactivate Travel Mode

  1. Flip la machine upside down again
  2. Flip the toggle switch twiceSame gesture as when activating.
  3. Listen for the confirmation soundA tone confirms la machine is back to normal operation.
Travelling tip Always activate Travel Mode before packing la machine. This preserves the battery and prevents surprise activations in your bag.
