Voilà, le lancement est à présent derrière moi. C'était il y a deux semaines, mais j'ai l'impression que c'était l'année dernière !
Plus de 1500 machines ont déjà trouvé acquéreur ou acquéreuse et sur cette lancée, le premier lot devrait être épuisé dans quelques semaines. Je rappelle que ce lot est collector, signé et numéroté et sa livraison en primeur en février 2026. Les machines des lots suivants seront plus chères. Je ne dis pas ça pour vous influencer...

L'ingéniérie mécanique consiste à concevoir l'intérieur du produit. Alors qu'Elium Studio a travaillé sur l'aspect extérieur, la peau de la machine, Axindus va élaborer son assemblage, dans le respect scrupuleux du design d'Elium.
Cette phase a commencé mercredi dernier. Jean-François a déjà une première version de la "mécanique" (image ci-dessus). La carte électronique aura une position verticale et le bouton-interrupteur sera soudé directement dessus pour éviter une opération d'assemblage.
Ci-dessous une autre vue de la disposition : | | | On voit notamment les vis et les clips permettant de démonter la machine | Quand cette phase sera terminée, Axindus lancera la fabrication des moules d'injection plastique. Une fois ces derniers récupérés, les pièces de la machine seront injectées à l'aide d'une autre machine un peu plus grande (ci-dessous). | | | Voilà, donc tout est lancé de ce côté-là. Je vais également commander les servo-moteurs, la batterie, le haut parleur et l'interrupteur. Alors non, je n'ai pas posté de vidéo sur TikTok (j'ai déjà du mal à poster régulièrement sur Instagram), ce sont les gentils gens du Journal du Geek qui l'ont fait. Un nouveau et pas des moindres ! Antoine est programmeur depuis toujours (il a travaillé avec Steve Jobs chez NeXT, à l'époque...) et il est surtout un artiste numérique.
Antoine va concevoir avec Alexis les comportements de la machine pour lui conférer une dimension "vivante": un objet avec des émotions et une personnalité tantôt joueuse, tantôt renfrognée. Loin de mouvements et de sons combinés aléatoirement, chaque interaction aura une intention. Antoine est un spécialiste des objets (physique ou virtuel) "vivants", c'est lui qui a conçu les animations et les mouvements du... Le festival Kikk se déroule à Namur en Belgique du 23 au 26 Octobre 2025. La machine est invitée et nous la présenterons le samedi 25 et le dimanche 26.
Il y aura des conférences exceptionnelles, dont une à ne pas rater, celle de Mónica Rikić avec qui j'ai travaillé dans le cadre de Multiplié.

Quand j'ai annoncé l'événement de lancement du 12 septembre, beaucoup se sont manifestés en regrettant de ne pas pouvoir venir à Paris. J'avais pensé faire une partie en "streaming" mais ç'aurait été trop chaotique.
Je propose plutôt que l'on papote "virtuellement" le dimanche 12 octobre. Vous pourrez poser toutes les questions qui vous passent par la tête.

Hello everyone,
So, the launch is now behind me. It was two weeks ago, but it feels like it was last year!
More than 1,500 machines have already found their buyers, and at this pace, the first batch should be sold out in a few weeks. I remind you that this batch is a collector's edition, signed and numbered, with priority delivery in February 2026. Machines from subsequent batches will be more expensive. I'm not saying this to influence you...
... but I'm still putting the big yellow button below: | | | Mechanical engineering from Normandy
Mechanical engineering consists of designing the inside of the product. While Elium Studio worked on the exterior aspect, the skin of the machine, Axindus will develop its assembly, with scrupulous respect for Elium's design.
This phase began last Wednesday. Jean-François already has a first version of the "mechanics" (image above). The electronic board will have a vertical position and the button-switch will be soldered directly onto it to avoid an assembly operation.
Below is another view of the layout: | | | We can notably see the screws and clips that allow the machine to be disassembled | When this phase is completed, Axindus will launch the manufacturing of the plastic injection molds. Once these are retrieved, the machine parts will be injected using another slightly larger machine (below). | | | So, everything is launched on that front. I'm also going to order the servo motors, the battery, the speaker, and the switch. A new member and not just anyone! Antoine has been a programmer since he was very young (he worked with Steve Jobs at NeXT, back in the day...) and he is primarily a digital artist.
Antoine will work with Alexis to design the machine's behaviors to give it a 'living' dimension: an object with emotions and a personality that is sometimes playful, sometimes grumpy. Far from randomly combined movements and sounds, each interaction will have an intention. Antoine is a specialist in 'living' objects (physical or virtual) - he's the one who designed the animations and movements of the... The Kikk Festival takes place in Namur, Belgium from October 23 to 26, 2025. The machine is invited and we will present it on Saturday the 25th and Sunday the 26th.
There will be exceptional conferences, including one not to be missed, by Mónica Rikić with whom I worked as part of Multiplié.

When I announced the launch event on September 12th, many people reached out regretting that they couldn't come to Paris. I had thought about doing a part of it as a 'livestream' but it would have been too chaotic.
